EVENING PLANNING:  Because of the number of high quality acts playing First Night, a game plan is essential. THE BIG EVENT: Midnight wouldn’t be complete without a countdown, the dropping of the First Night button, designed by Miss Landyn Alexander, and a first class fireworks display sponsored by the Tuckey company and choreographed by Pyrotechnico.

WEATHER: Most events are inside buildings, but please dress for the weather. Walking between venues can be cold and/or wet.

FIRST AID: A first aid kit is available at the Carlisle Theatre.

ALCOHOL: First Night® Carlisle is a non-alcoholic event.

FOOD: You’ll have lots of options! Helena’s Creperie, George’s Pizza and Subs, and Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy will remain open throughout the evening, and the Boy Scouts will be serving hot beverages. Brand new this year: In the courtyard next to History on High, look for the First Night® Carlisle Food Court, featuring soup from Lili’s Place; pulled pork, bacon on a stick, and kettlecorn from B-Rock BBQ; hot fries and chicken strips from Bricker’s Famous French Fries; home-made, old fashioned doughnuts from the Salvation Army Famous Doughboy Doughnuts; and hot beverages served by the Friends of Kings Gap.
